Overview:
An element of preparation and planning is needed for even the shortest of journeys. Whether you’re just starting out on the water or looking to refresh your knowledge, the RYA Essential Navigation and Seamanship course is great way to boost your skillset.
This course offers an introduction to navigation, tides, charts, and safety awareness and can be taken either online or in person, giving you the option to learn at a pace that suits you.
When taking the course you’ll be provided with a helpful course pack, including a chart, plotter, dividers, course handbook and exercises.
However you decide to take the course there’s plenty of opportunities to put your new-found knowledge into practice. For those joining online, you’ll experience a variety of interactive exercises to reinforce all that you’ve learned.
Course Benefits:
Start time each day 09:00 – 17:00 each day (or separated into sections). It is the expectation of the school that the students complete independent learning/revision outside of the classroom
DURATION 1 DAYS – 9am to 5pm
Class Size and Personal Attention: We maintain a maximum of three students per instructor to ensure personalized attention and tailored instruction. For those desiring more focused training, one-to-one tuition is also available.
Age and Certification: The minimum age for this course is 12 years. For students between 12 and 16 years old, the certificate will be endorsed, requiring a responsible adult to be in attendance.
Course Fees: The Powerboat Level 2 course fee includes all required materials and your certification. There are no hidden extras, ensuring you get the best value for your investment.
Post-Course Opportunities: After becoming certified, you have the option to hire our 6-meter RIB by the hour. This allows you to keep practicing and perfecting your skills so that your hard work doesn’t go to waste.
