It’s a hands on course with the emphasis on as much boat handling time as possible. The theory is conducted in as easy a form as possible and has no written test to take. Fun and a relaxed atmosphere is the order of the day.

Pilotage and passage planning are also included as part of the I.C.C . (The International Certificate of Competence), the driving license for power boating. Upon completion and applying to the RYA you can charter powerboats up to 10 mtrs. in length almost anywhere in the world.

A maximum of three students per course is the mandatory limit of student to instructor ratio. This makes time to help those who may need just a little more attention if needed.

Minimum age 12 yrs. Up to 16 yrs. the Certificate is endorsed meaning a responsible adult must be in attendance. Cheaper boat insurance is generally available with the Level 2 certification.
